(Two for the 5" long throw sub woofer and one each for the left and right satellite speakers). That's 400 watts of Pure Music Power! And we are talking clean power - at 400 watts less than 1% THD, at 360 watts less than 0.1% THD!!
Left and right sats with ported bass reflex design give unparalleled dynamics and frequency range. The sub-woofer coil has 2 parallel windings, mechanically integrating low frequencies from left and right channel inputs.
Ideal for any sound source (Aux In) – pc, mp3, cd, tv, dvd and streaming media players, AUXOUT is a shrine for devout iPod aficionados. RCA stereo line level input easily attaches to any sound source.
No-nonsense controls (on / off, volume, bass level and left / right fader).
Retractable extension cables permit easy deployment and perfect room placement for full immersion sound.
Extra power socket for powering sources like iPod or rechargers.

Heavier is better! We're talking about 10kg (22 pounds) - even the small sats are like bricks!
And since Aux Audio products are based on Professional Components, they just don't break! We stand behind them with a Lifetime Guarantee.
AUXOUT! You'll be glad you did.
Hearing is believing. Believing is hearing.
But AUXOUT makes sound you won't believe, even after you hear it.
The Designer says:
Guido Noselli (musician, ceo and chief designer of Outline - founded in 1973) - "Music is about transmitting emotions. No sound systems leave my labs if they can't give you the kind of goose bumps you get at a live performance."

Review: Kuller Aux Out 400 — Packs More Punch Than Barrel Full of Fraziers
The Italian-made Aux Out 400 fuses TriPath digital amplifiers, Ciare speaker cones, and several decades of live audio installation experience to create what could be the best compact speaker system available for under a grand. The system measures just 16 inches in compact formation, or can be deployed across bookshelf or on a desktop. Angle the sats up at your ears, and voila — desktop speaker heaven for one. The tone was live, sweet, and punchy, regardless of genre or format. These speakers made us conjure an air guitar for the first time in years.
WIRED Active crossover filters and digitally switched "Class T" amplifiers make music sound clear, sweet, and live, with low listener fatigue. Reproduces compressed music's frequency range. Multiple finishes, from rugged black to shiny red. Low energy footprint.
Display-friendly, shielded speakers. Loud and tough enough to double as small PA fo musical instruments. Lifetime warranty. No manual required.
Tom Lewis (band manager of Hurt) - David, The system sounds amazing! Used it in a presentation for the chairman of the Capitol Music Group last week. He flipped! I need to get another system. This one is for the producer of the "HURT" record, Eric Greedy. He's been blown away by the accuracy of the detail in the sound stage. People at Capitol are all talking about it...
Hi David,
My name is Eric Greedy. I am the producer of HURT, the band that Tom Lewis manages. I LOVE your system. I have heard it for several weeks now and want to get one. I am going to help Tom turn these on to lots of people. It will complete my mobile Pro Tools/Logic MacBook Pro based production system.
So please contact me asap and I will pay-pal you the funds. We begin mixing this record in a couple of weeks and I want to get to know these by then and use them to judge the mixes on. They are that good.
(a few months later) . I LOVE the case. It works very well and i am using it correctly so as to have handles.... i LOVE my AUX-OUT. I demonstrated it today to Brian "Big Bass" Gardner at the mastering session for the new Hurt Album - Tom was there too.
Sincerely,
Eric
Bob Lefsetz (author of Lefsetz Newsletter) - Soothsayer of music industry trends) - "but stunningly, they sound better than seemingly all of the new music. . . . This take of "We Can’t Make It Here" is the best thing I’ve heard since it came out, as good a protest song as anything cut in the sixties, but do I love it so much because of the way it sounds? On these speakers, it sounds like James is in the speakers, sitting right behind my computer monitor. . . . Or a true winner… Stephen Stills’ "Do For The Others" I heard this on my iPod the other night in the mountains, and it stopped me in my tracks. I had to play it again, to see if the song was really that meaningful. And I realized, it wasn’t the lyrics so much as the sound. On these speakers, I’m brought right back to my freshman year at Middlebury. Music doesn’t have to sound like shit. "
Larry Archibald (former owner and publisher of "Stereophile Magazine") - "My initial listening impressions are very positive. They generate a 'big' sound -- that's what my wife Laura called it, and I agree. The subwoofer level was easy to set -- you just turn it up until the bass is really obvious, then back it off until it isn't. Overall a good showing, and I'm a fairly harsh critic. Fun project so far! "
Bebo Moroni (Videohifi.com) - " The 'live' impact you've got to believe me, and I mean believe me even though it seems
(pardon the paradox) incredible to hear that much sound and punch from a system of its size and "type".
The two full-bandwidth drivers that animate the satellites propose a range of medium frequencies decidedly big and fluid,
while the high frequencies are unusually extended and refined. With a little bit of attention in their placement, you can
obtain an imaging effect that is ample and coherent. The bass is profound, and decisively powerful.
It's hard not to fall in love with the AUX OUT and not to want to own it once you've heard it.
It is absolutely worth it!
My guess is that we will be talking further about other Kuller/Outline products in the future. I'm sure we will . . . "

Kuller Aux Out 400: Best Sub-$1,000 Speaker System?
Class D amplifiers (or rather TriPath's version, called "Class T"), form the nucleus of the Italian-made Kuller Aux Out 400 --
a 2.1-channel desktop speaker system that was developed using decades of live audio installation experience that could be
the best-sounding speakers available for under a grand.
These amps use the analog signal that represents the sound of a song to control a digital amplifier,
which is so efficient that it renders conventional wattage ratings irrelevant. This represents the first major step forward
in amplification in decades, and over the next few years, it should spread to most other areas of the consumer audio market.
Out of all of the products I've tested this year, the Kuller Aux Out 400 speaker system, which I reviewed for Gadget Lab,
was the hardest for me to return once the review period was over. It made my MP3s, CDs, and vinyl sound really live,
as if I'd had the sound guy from the Bowery Ballroom outfit my office with speakers.
If you have a spare thousand bucks lying around and want to add a powered speaker system to your home or office that's
loud and clean sounding enough to be used as a PA system for keyboards and other musical instruments, consider
Kuller's Aux Out 400 . . .
Lucio Cadeddu (tnt-audio) "The woofer, considered its diminutive size, plays miracles", "another surprise is the presence of that elusive third dimension .... hard to achieve even with more audiophile-oriented products".

"Wow David, it's like being in Carnegie Hall! All these years I've been using my pc just to load up my iPod, I never dreamed of using it to listen to music - but all of a sudden my desk is the best stereo I own (and I own lots of stereos)! your speakers have changed my relationship with my music! The problem is going to be keeping them, 'cause all 3 of my sons have their eyes on them. Again, my compliments - I love 'em" - Rick
"The ao400's survived my 14 year old son's party, driven by my computer and every kid's own ipod or mp3 player. They played it really loud, in fact the neighbors called the police. But they really worked well, my compliments. Great timing, since my son had recently broke my stereo during one of his parties!!!" - Paolo
"Just got the Aux400, hooked it to my iBook and whammo what a sound. Congratulations. Great for both Thelonius Monk and St Martin in the Fields. And of course tested Jimi Hendrix's Foxy Lady. Wayne's World would have given it 2 thumbs up." - Chris
"As far as being a good person to critique the Aux Out 400, I'm not sure if I am right since I only use it and listen to it 8 to 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, under conditions that are less then what I would want for acoustic perfection (a plastic walled 100 foot long working greenhouse with 18 foot ceilings, high heat and humidity and temperatures that can vary by 50 degrees during the year) Listen up David, 2 weeks before I was introduced to the Aux Out 400 I purchased a Bose Dock for my iPod and was so proud of the sound it produced I was in sound heaven. Then I get turned on to the Aux Out 400 and now the Bose Dock sounds like an old 2 transistor radio in mono by comparison. Please don't get me wrong - I'm not bashing the Bose product - its fabulous. I am just explaining that the difference is so great between the 2 products - not only in sound quality, volume, bass and instrument distinction and especially out of this world on live recordings, although in my case I have such eclectic musical tastes and on my iPod genres change by the minute from jazz, folk, reggae, classical, rock, Latin sounds of all kinds to African drum beats and more and they all sound incredible. . . SO as I stated earlier I'm probably not the right person to be "judging" your product. Keep up the good work and thank you for bringing music in a portable manner to the next level for us music fanatics who consider music like breathing and the better the air the better life is. Una Grande Abrazo, " - Ricardo
"You mention the term "concert quality sound" only in passing. I think maybe you need to play this up more and maybe should be called 'rock concert sound' (to disambiguate it from a classical music concert). Isn't Outline known for setting up huge rigs for rock & jazz concerts in enormous arenas, stadiums, etc. Isn't this kind of your overall design philosophy? AuxOut takes the power & ruggedness that pros use to deliver high-quality audio to huge spaces for rock & jazz concerts and repackage it into a 'luggable' system you can use with an iPod. (They even look like the stage monitors they use in rock concerts). The Apple iPod Hifi and the BOSE iPod dock just don't cut it in large spaces or outside, only AuxOut can. You know, 'rock concert performance from your iPod' " - Drew
"I absolutely love the speakers and use them all the time. For my friends I crank Jimmy Hendrix on them . . . I'm always showing the speakers off and if I get any additional ideas I'll let you known. Jodi likes them too. (and believe me, Jodi is hard to please!)" - Alden

Ciao David, come stai?
Avendo a disposizione uno spazio molto ristretto ( se necessario posso inviare foto) l'aux out e' l'ideale alternativa all'impianto stereo classico molto piu' ingombrante.
Armando Branchini, Altagamma (consortium of 50 top Italian Luxury brands)
Initial take on “hook-up.”
David!
We're totally impressed out here in the West. Can't find a genre that doesn't sound great. Have yet to get past iTUNES but have plans about checking in on some other sources someday soon.
Note, however - These damn "auxoutS" ought to come with a big red, flashing warning: CAUTION – SOUND HEROINE. Do not plug these speakers in if you plan on doing anything but soaking.I REPEAT, DO NOT PLUG THEM IN!
Next day.
auxouts sounding great just about wherever we place them - have hooked up to a Sony CD and then a tv/hd dvd (better). Extremely clean sound.
Listened to a music dvd (Tribute to Leonard Cohen). Noted delicate
division on voice frequencies. Listened to it last weekend employing a Samsung hdmi thing, which, like the Bose noise, now sounds quite contrived. "Mud" comes to mind. As they say, “The worse enemy of Good is Better.”
Getting serious – the following weekend:
Carol and I have been listening to some subtle stuff picked with purpose and hauled up here to make a serious comparison test with the big system back home.
As background for set and setting, we're among some lucky splitists who have somehow managed to build a cabin in the wild. Off the grid, our solar-array charged, battery powered inverter voltage holds absolutely true. We're beyond 60-cycle hum and those city sirens and big trucks forever in beeping reverse. It's quiet here. You can hear the bugs and birds cut through the air. They zip, buzz and whistle past. Venue is a good-sized room - heavily insulated walls and high ceiling, hardwood floor, carpets here and there with enough in and outs to cancel echo.
Serious Judgement Time.
Our first selection was a Glossa Nouvelle Vision (2cd set) - GCD921102 - entitled The Passion of Reason by the Sour Cream Legacy. Music from 1300 all the way up to J.S. Bach, but mostly composers of the 1500s, played on lots of baroque flutes (delicate woody sound), viola da gamba (precursor to the cello sound), voice and lutes. We were immediately happy now.
Next we loaded some Mozart Divertimenti (KV 213, 240, 252, 253 & 270) performed by the Ensemble Zefiro on an Astree cd (E8529). Instruments were period, e.g., "d' epoque" - hautbois, cors naturals & bassons.
In my mind, the feature of these auxouts is that I'm not distracted by their personality as one is, metaphorically, for instance, by the immediately recognizable identity of a Rampal or Pearlman. So nice to hear the music trump the equipment. Of course, both of these “personality” views are arguable as opinions always are.
Next we listened to some Vivaldi. I won’t mention which ones, but several CDs preformed by the Camerata Koln. Everything they’ve recorded is exceptional. Exceptionally so on the auxouts.
The primary problem with these speakers is that they are very distracting - can’t get anything else done. But thanks anyway, David. Gotta go now – more music!
Cheers, fred

Many people have commented that the USA version costs less that the European version. The truth is that the European Version INCLUDES VAT (20%) and things are just plain less expensive to ship in the States, so the actual costs are very similar - plus a little bit of rounding.
But act fast, prices will be updated soon to reflect the fall in the dollar's value against the Euro!
The European Model's price, charged in Euro, includes the European VAT and shipping, and the Aux Out 400 will work on 220v 50hz power.

Great sound from any source.
We've tried the Aux Out 400s with lots of different sound sources. They all work, and some work great.
Of course the iPods and any other portable music players work perfectly using the mini-jack to rca patch cable that's included.
With an AO400 and an iPod, you have a concert.
To hook the AO400 up to an existing stereo component (tuner, cd player, tape deck, stb, tv) use an rca-rca stereo patch.
We highly recommend the latest generation of audio terminals like Slim Devices Squeezebox, Roku SoundBridge or
Sonos Digital Music System, or a full blown Silent Pc like the Cartft fanless or Sony Vaio UX, what we like to call the "RC - Room Computer"
- any of which provide online access to your entire digital archive as well as internet and subscription based streaming.
Start getting the best out of Rhapsody and Musicmatch directly from your pc or portable - finally decent "digital radio".
Internet stations like The Current become the sound track of your life! What radio should be.
More and more Aux Out 400 users are attaching them to very high end sources - especially analog -
with even more enthusiasm than before.
This is a great compact way to resurrect your old analog preamp or an even better way to get your SACD into your office
and start enjoying it all day long.
This is the best way to get the best music on your desk. This is about truly enjoying your music. It will make your day.
With the Aux Out 400, the better the source the better they sound. Skype with an Aux Out 400 is literally like being there - way better than a phone call - more like being in a recording studio with the other person.
